Feeding your lawn doesn't always mean you need fertilizer. Most of the time, all you need is water. Whether you have sod, seed, or natural grass, your lawn requires water. Irrigation systems are always the fastest and most efficient way to water a lawn.
The main irrigation type used in the yard should be sprinkler/rotor irrigation. Rotor irrigation is pop-up, gear-driven, rotating sprinklers that mimic rainfall using a variety of nozzles. They are placed level with the grass for proper watering without being affected by lawn equipment.
These sprinklers can spray over 28ft with a three-gallon nozzle using decent water pressure. These sprinklers are in zones of 5-7 sprinkler heads based on distance and water pressure. We also recommend using a timer that is simple and to your liking.
If you prefer a fertilizer or already have an irrigation system, we recommend using Milorganite fertilizer, a 10-10-10 fertilizer or a local lawn service that can recommend and spread a fertilizer.
