Important Questions to Ask your Landscape Contractor
1) WHERE DO YOU SOURCE YOUR PLANTS, SHRUBS, AND TREES?
We source 90% of all our material right here in North Fl. Every now and then a special request will come through and we will order it in.
2) WILL YOU HANDLE ALL OF OUR MAINTENANCE?
Yes. We do have the ability to handle all of your maintenance. Note: it's not mandatory for us to do so in order for us to provide landscape and irrigation services.
3) DO YOU UNDERSTAND MY VISION?
Great Question. We specialize in listening to the needs and desires of our clients. We will create an original design and then work with you to dial it in.
4) HOW LONG DO YOU ESTIMATE THE WHOLE PROJECT WILL TAKE?
This will vary depending on the scope of service and the weather. But most jobs take between 1 to 2 weeks.
5) WHEN WILL ALL THE PLANTINGS REACH MATURITY?
We design for the landscape to reach full maturity within 3 to 5 years. Some material like trees may take longer. Some jobs, especially commercial, want an instant mature look. And we can do that as requested.
6) WHO SHOULD I CONTACT IF I NOTICE A PROBLEM?

7) IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO TO LOWER COSTS?
If the estimate for the work you’d like to have done is higher than you’re comfortable with, just let know. We may be able to suggest design changes or alternative plants that could bring the cost into your comfort zone.
8) CAN YOU INSTALL OUTDOOR LIGHTING?
Absolutely. We believe that you should be able to enjoy your new landscaping 24 hours a day. Outdoor lighting is perfect to do that and probably not as costly as you think.
9) WHILE THE CREW WORKS ON MY YARD, WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT THEIR DAYS TO LOOK LIKE?
Rest easy. Most days we will be there around 8am and usually knock off around 5 or 6pm. If we are in peak season or have a short deadline we may work longer if permitted by the property owner.
10) WHAT TYPE OF PAYMENTS DO YOU ACCEPT?
We generally do not accept credit cards unless it is for commercial jobs with ongoing lawn maintenance billing. Cash, some checks, and other apps like Cash App, PayPal, and Venmo are preferrred.
11) WHAT TYPES OF OUTDOOR LIVING STRUCTURES CAN YOU CONSTRUCT?
We work with most structure types except adding on to the home. Retaining walls, concrete curbing, Pergolas, pavers, etc. are available from us.
12) DO YOU GUARANTEE THE IRRIGATION SYSTEM?
Yes. All labor and parts are guaranteed for at least one year. Some materials, like commercial grade rotors, may have a 2-5 year guarantee. This will all be provided to you in writing before we start installation.
13) DO YOU GUARANTEE MY LANDSCAPING?
Yes we guarantee the landscaping as long as it has the proper watering requirements. We will set your existing irrigation timer and sprinklers accordingly. Or install a new irrigation system.
14) DO I HAVE TO HAVE A YEARLY LAWN MAINTENANCE CONTRACT?
For commercial properties, yes. For residential properties it's up to you. We prefer that you do so that both you and us can benefit. This allows us to both budget our monies. So to sweeten the pot, we do give a a discount and provide a myriad of extra services for our yearly clients.
15) IS THERE A DEPOSIT REQUIRED FOR LANDSCAPING AND IRRIGATION?
Yes. We usually require a 50% deposit before breaking ground. The remainder 50% will be due upon completion. Commercial clients often require a different agreement. We are willing to work with most people if you just talk to us about it.
16) DO YOU CHARGE FOR ESTIMATES AND LANDSCAPE DESIGNS?
Lawn Maintenance and Irrigation estimates are free. Landscaping designs are free if we do the installation. If we do not do the install, landscaping designs average around $250 depending on the size and details.
