Down and Dirty

mcleanlandscaping

If you're looking for a way to water your flower beds, we recommend spray irrigation, but if you prefer not to see the action of the sprays, we recommend drip irrigation.

There are two options for drip irrigation. Use a polyethylene irrigation tube and manually place your desired emitters 12 to 18 inches apart throughout the used amount of tubing or, as we recommend, use a Netafim drip line with preinstalled emitters placed 12 inches apart.

Either of the tubing options should be placed on both sides of every plant for proper watering. Drip irrigation is placed under each plant and prevents any blooms or leaves from being harmed. If you like the idea of using sprays but your worried it will hurt any delicate plants, you can also use micro-irrigation.

Micro-irrigation is attached to polyethylene irrigation tubing manually and is placed on a small spike that hovers just over plants that provides a mist of water to all plants in range. Drip irrigation and Micro-irrigation can be covered by mulch or rocks because it stays down and dirty.
